Overview
Dr. Flake and the members of her laboratory at McGill University are part of the Quantitative Psychology and Modelling area of the Department of Psychology. We are working on developing best practices for the use of latent variable models in psychological measurement.
Our measurement research spans from technical to applied. In our technical research, we work on developing rigorous and transparent research practices for measurement development and use, models for assessing measurement equivalence, handling clustered data structures, and addressing measurement challenges in replication research. In our more applied work, we apply these advances to study students’ achievement motivation and success, as well as how we perceive others faces. You can learn more about our recent research here, and the members of the lab here.
